How much is the library used?

Brainerd Public Library patrons visit the library and use its online resources for all kinds of reasons. They come to storytime to build early literacy skills and use the library’s computers to search for work. They get together with other book lovers at book club and writing classes, and see published authors speak about their work. Of course, they also check out books, movies, magazines, eBooks, and so much more.

A few fast facts about the library in 2023:
– An average of 368 visitors came through the doors each day
– An average of 778 items were checked out every day
– 536 kids ages 0-18 participated in the Summer Reading Program during June and July, and read for over 490,000 minutes during those two months
